About Dr Dorian Wenzel

Dr Dorian Wenzel is a locally trained Specialist Anaesthetist based in Perth, Western Australia. He has experience across all of Perth’s major adult hospitals including the obstetric and paediatric centres as well as regional centres throughout Western Australia. He completed a year of subspeciality training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth with a primary focus on Regional Anaesthesia.

Dorian currently holds an appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as a Consultant Anaesthetist, where he is actively involved in teaching regional anaesthesia to anaesthesia fellows and registrars, as well as colleagues in the Emergency Department. He has a particular interest in the various types of ultrasound guided upper limb blocks, involving catheter placement. His regular lists in private practice involve both upper and lower limb orthopaedics.

Dorian has a keen interest in teaching regional anaesthesia being part of the WASORA faculty (WA Society of Regional Anaesthesia) since becoming a fellow. He has taught at CTEC's Australian Regional Anaesthesia and Cadaveric Ultrasound Seminar (ARACUS) in previous years, and is now involved as a co-convenor.
