Dr Jean Yap is a WA trained Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist with a special interest in office gynaecology, colposcopy and operative laparoscopy.  Dr Yap undertook her medical education at The University of Western Australia.  She subsequently conducted specialist training at multiple metropolitan and rural centres, including King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), Joondalup Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Bunbury Hospital and Albany Hospital.  She has also worked at regional sites around NSW and Victoria. 

Dr Yap is a consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital. She is also a training supervisor, regularly providing teaching and mentorship to her junior colleagues. Originally from Malaysia, Dr Yap embraces the role of culture and respect in everything that she does. She strives to deliver the most comprehensive care for all her patients, to the best of her abilities. When not at work Dr Yap is a foodie, traveller and enjoys the simple things in life with her wife.
