This workshop aims to assist GPs whose practice includes more extensive management of acute and chronic injuries and is of particular relevance for rural GP Proceduralists. Some suturing experience is recommended for participants to benefit from the procedural sessions.

- Treatment options for abrasions, clean and ragged lacerations

- Managing hypertrophic and keloid scarring
- Removing foreign bodies from eyes (advanced)

Training Grants
The Australian Government is offering training grants of up to $2000 per day to rural and remote procedural and emergency medicine GPs. The Rural Procedural Grants Program provides financial assistance for procedural GPs in rural and remote areas to access relevant activities in order to assist them in maintaining and updating their skills.
Reapproval for this educational activity will be sought for the 2026-2028 Triennium.
